Gravitational-Wave Signature Detection

Commercial reference
DEF-031

Scientific signature-screening and detector-evidence technology for qualified research, instrumentation and sovereign sensing programs.

Who this is for

Research laboratories, instrumentation programs, sensor integrators and qualified sovereign technology programs.

The problem you already have

A real signature carries a specific polarization signature instrumental noise doesn't reliably reproduce

A genuine gravitational-wave-like signal produces a measurable, testable ratio between its polarization channels; an instrument artifact doesn't consistently reproduce that ratio. Checking for that specific relationship — not just flagging amplitude above a threshold — is what actually separates a real candidate from a glitch that looks similar at a glance.

A ratio matching by coincidence still has to explain the internal structure of the signal

A genuine tensor perturbation produces a distinct, non-degenerate pattern across its polarization modes — the modes are measurably different from one another in a specific way. Instrumental noise that happens to land near the right ratio rarely reproduces that internal structure by chance, which is a second, independent way to catch a false candidate the ratio check alone might miss.

This works from your existing pipeline output, not your calibration secrets

Never requested, and structurally rejected if submitted: raw strain data, calibration secrets, or facility control parameters.

Real-World Operational Scenario: The Glitch That Looked Like a Signal

Scenario: A candidate event crosses the amplitude threshold during a busy observation run.

Amplitude alone would normally trigger a "candidate detected" flag, adding to an already-backlogged manual review queue.

WITHOUT this check: The candidate sits in the queue with every other threshold-crossing event, waiting for a human to eventually cross-check it against noise history and detector state — if there's time before the observation run ends.

WITH this check: Two tests run automatically. The polarization-ratio check finds this candidate doesn't reproduce the expected channel relationship. The non-degeneracy check finds its internal mode structure is also inconsistent with a genuine tensor perturbation. Both point the same way, and the candidate is deprioritized in the review queue instead of sitting there as an unresolved threshold-crossing.

What BivectorAI Provides

Two Independent Checks, Not One Threshold

Polarization-ratio consistency and internal mode non-degeneracy are both checked against the genuine-signal profile — a candidate has to fail both independently before it's strongly deprioritized, not just one heuristic.

Every Candidate Classified Against Noise History

Detector state and noise-characterization logs are checked alongside the candidate, not evaluated in isolation from the conditions that produced it.

Review Priority, Not a Discovery Claim

Outputs rank candidates for the human review queue by evidence quality — they never issue an autonomous detection announcement or replace the detector team's confirmation judgment.

Hash-Sealed Certificates for Post-Event Review

Every classification traces back to the exact detector-state and noise-history evidence that justified it at the time.

Prove the Gate Before Broader Integration (Zero-Risk Evaluation)

Do not buy the claim. Test the gate.

Feed a synthetic candidate with amplitude above threshold but a polarization ratio and mode structure both inconsistent with a genuine signal. It succeeds only if it correctly deprioritizes it as likely instrumental — on both checks, not just one.

This initial trial measures artifact-discrimination accuracy and review-backlog reduction. Commercial scale-up occurs only after measured results prove value in your own lab environment.

What you provide

Detector channel readings, noise-characterization logs, and candidate timestamps already produced by your data-acquisition pipeline. No raw strain data, calibration secrets, or facility control parameters are required.

What BivectorAI actually hands you

Evidence package

  • signature classification
  • detector-state evidence
  • confidence and anomaly records
  • reviewable assessment certificates

Integration package

Customer-safe input/output contract, local/private integration boundary, validation fixtures and reviewable evidence artifacts.

Deployment model

Qualified local, private or on-premise integration. No public Defense API and no uncontrolled public execution surface.

Technical disclosure

Customer-visible behavior and evidence are disclosed. Confidential implementation details, protected core methods and internal technical data are not published.

What we will never ask you for

Never requested, and structurally rejected if submitted: facility control-system access, classified detector-design parameters, or raw strain data outside the agreed evidence contract, or your system's core design data. Every submission is checked against this rejection list before any evidence logic runs — a malformed or over-broad submission is blocked and reported back to you, not silently processed.

How it actually runs

01
You export the detector channel and candidate-timestamp records already produced by your data-acquisition pipeline.
02
The evidence engine runs inside your boundary. Local CLI, on-prem container, or air-gapped VM — nothing leaves your network.
03
You receive a hash-sealed evidence certificate. Classification, confidence, and contradiction records included, ready for program review.
04
You decide. The engine does not take control action or issue commands — it hands your reviewers structured evidence for the decision that remains yours.
