Resilient PNT, Timing & Navigation Integrity

Commercial reference
DEF-011

When contacting BivectorAI, quote DEF-011 — Resilient PNT, Timing & Navigation Integrity.

Who this is for

PNT engineering leads and navigation-safety program managers who need to know when a numerically smooth navigation solution is unsafe to elevate without review.

The problem you already have

Five "independent" sources can secretly be two

A PNT receiver can show GNSS, network time, inertial and visual sources all agreeing — and still be wrong, because several of those sources quietly share the same upstream clock, calibration, or map. Five agreeing readings built on two real dependencies isn't five times more confident; it's the same blind spot repeated five times.

A clock that keeps ticking after losing its reference doesn't announce that it's lost authority

An oscillator can continue producing timestamps after its external time reference disappears — and unless something is tracking how long it's been in that holdover state and how much its error has grown, it looks exactly as authoritative as it did before the reference was lost.

Reviewing that disagreement doesn't require raw receiver control

This runs on redacted source-agreement, timing and holdover-drift telemetry your PNT system already logs — never raw GPS/GNSS receiver control, classified timing-source data, or live navigation-system access.

Real-World Operational Scenario: The Five Sources That Were Really Two

Scenario: Four "independent" sources, one hidden shared dependency.

A PNT receiver ingests GNSS, cellular network time, an inertial unit, and a visual odometry feed — four sources that look independent. Unknown to the integrator, the cellular time service and the GNSS receiver both derive their epoch from the same upstream NTP server after a recent network reconfiguration.

WITHOUT this check: All four sources agree within tolerance. The fusion filter reports HIGH_CONFIDENCE based on four independent confirmations — when two of those four are really the same dependency counted twice.

WITH this check: The dependency graph flags that GNSS and cellular-time share a common upstream clock. Confidence is reported as MODERATE — 2 INDEPENDENT ROOTS, NOT 4, and the shared dependency is disclosed in the review record.

Real-World Operational Scenario: The GPS Said One Thing, Galileo and BeiDou Said Another

Scenario: A receiver tracking multiple satellite constellations sees GPS suddenly disagree with its own recent trajectory.

A coordinated spoofing attack can manipulate several GPS satellites together, so the GPS solution still looks internally consistent even though it's wrong.

WITHOUT this check: The GPS solution is trusted because nothing inside the GPS constellation itself contradicts it — there's no obvious internal red flag to catch.

WITH this check: The same position and time solution is cross-checked against Galileo and BeiDou, which are still reporting consistent, expected values. GPS disagreeing while two independent constellations agree with each other is flagged as a likely single-constellation spoofing candidate — a real environmental effect would typically show some correlated impact across constellations, not isolate to just one.

What BivectorAI Provides

Independence Is Structural, Not Assumed

Sources are checked for shared upstream dependencies — clock, calibration, or map — before their agreement counts as corroboration.

A Single Constellation Disagreeing With the Rest Is a Signal, Not Noise

Cross-constellation comparison distinguishes a targeted spoofing attempt on one system from an environmental effect that would typically show correlated impact across multiple constellations.

Holdover Authority Decays, It Doesn't Freeze

A clock continuing after losing its external reference is tracked with growing uncertainty over time, not held at its last-known trust level indefinitely.

Evidence, Not a Navigation Command

Output is a confidence classification and dependency disclosure for review — it never issues position, timing, or navigation-control commands, and never requires raw GPS/GNSS receiver access.

Prove the Gate Before Broader Integration (Zero-Risk Evaluation)

Do not buy the claim. Test the gate.

Feed it a synthetic multi-source PNT log where two "independent" sources actually share an upstream dependency you've deliberately hidden, alongside a scenario where only one constellation shows a coordinated anomaly. It succeeds only if it flags the false independence and correctly isolates the single-constellation spoofing candidate — without you having to tell it where to look.

This initial trial measures dependency-detection accuracy, cross-constellation spoofing discrimination, and false-corroboration prevention. Commercial scale-up occurs only after measured results prove value in your own lab environment.

What you provide

Redacted source-agreement, timing, and holdover-drift telemetry already logged by your PNT system.

What BivectorAI actually hands you

Evidence package

  • source-disagreement classification
  • timing and drift evidence
  • holdover-risk records
  • reviewable navigation-integrity certificates

Integration package

Customer-safe input/output contract, local/private integration boundary, validation fixtures and reviewable evidence artifacts.

Deployment model

Qualified local, private or on-premise integration. No public Defense API and no uncontrolled public execution surface.

Technical disclosure

Customer-visible behavior and evidence are disclosed. Confidential implementation details, protected core methods and internal technical data are not published.

What we will never ask you for

Never requested, and structurally rejected if submitted: raw GPS/GNSS receiver control, classified timing-source data, or live navigation-system access, or your system's core design data. Every submission is checked against this rejection list before any evidence logic runs — a malformed or over-broad submission is blocked and reported back to you, not silently processed.

How it actually runs

01
You export the redacted source-agreement and timing-drift telemetry already logged by your PNT system.
02
The evidence engine runs inside your boundary. Local CLI, on-prem container, or air-gapped VM — nothing leaves your network.
03
You receive a hash-sealed evidence certificate. Classification, confidence, and contradiction records included, ready for program review.
04
You decide. The engine does not take control action or issue commands — it hands your reviewers structured evidence for the decision that remains yours.
