Space Situational Awareness Assurance

Commercial reference
DEF-036

Multi-source space-domain evidence assurance for orbital state, provenance, contradiction review and human-governed situational awareness.

Who this is for

Satellite operators, space operations centers, civil-space agencies, insurers and qualified sovereign integrators.

The problem you already have

A system that guesses intent is more dangerous than one that admits it can't

Behavior that looks like early-warning classification — hostile, surveillance, benign — is a judgment human analysts are trained to make and accountable for. A system that quietly encodes that judgment into a score removes the analyst from a decision they're supposed to own, and nobody notices until the judgment is wrong.

A coincidence across domains can look like confirmation when it's just timing

A space anomaly and a GPS-denied navigation disruption happening at the same time can look connected. Treating that coincidence as confirmed causation, instead of flagging it as needing multi-source human confirmation, is exactly the kind of overclaim that damages credibility with oversight the first time it's wrong.

This works from provenance metadata, not sensor-network details

Never requested, and structurally rejected if submitted: classified sensor-network locations, live tasking access, or source data outside the agreed evidence contract.

Real-World Operational Scenario: The Proximity Event That Wasn't Hostile Intent

Scenario: Two objects close to within a few kilometers, one shows a slight maneuver.

Two objects in similar orbits close over several orbital passes. Tracking data shows a small maneuver by one object consistent with routine station-keeping — or something else.

WITHOUT this check: A system scoring "threat likelihood" outputs a single number — for example, 72% hostile intent — based on proximity and maneuver pattern alone. The number quietly encodes a judgment about intent from geometry that no analyst signed off on.

WITH this check: The output is labeled GEOMETRY_ONLY — NO_INTENT_ASSESSMENT — HUMAN_ANALYST_REQUIRED. Proximity and maneuver deviation are reported as measured facts; the intent field reads INTENT_CANNOT_BE_DETERMINED, forcing the analyst to make the judgment call they're accountable for.

Real-World Operational Scenario: The Satellite Parked Near Someone Else's GEO Slot

Scenario: A newly maneuvered satellite settles into a geostationary position close to another operator's registered slot.

GEO co-location happens for legitimate reasons — fuel-efficient disposal, planned coordination agreements between operators — as well as less legitimate ones.

WITHOUT this check: The system either flags this as a potential threat based on proximity alone, or waves it off as routine since GEO co-location is common — neither answer is actually checked against anything.

WITH this check: The event is classified as requiring coordination verification — neither assumed hostile nor assumed benign. It's flagged as a specific candidate to check against actual coordination filings, giving reviewers the exact question to resolve instead of a vague "something is near something."

What BivectorAI Provides

Geometry Is Reported, Intent Is Never Inferred

Intent is labeled undetermined by default, not inferred from proximity or maneuver pattern — guessing intent from trajectory data is exactly the overclaim that damages credibility the first time it's wrong.

Unresolved Proximity Gets a Specific Question, Not a Vague Flag

Slot or orbit proximity that could be a legitimate coordination arrangement is routed as a candidate requiring verification against actual filings — not silently accepted as routine or escalated as a threat.

Correlation Across Domains Is Flagged, Not Concluded

A space anomaly coinciding with a terrestrial disruption is reported as a correlation requiring multi-source human confirmation, never asserted as causation.

Evidence, Not a Targeting Judgment

Outputs are detection and geometry certificates, never targeting solutions or strike-relevant assessments — and never require classified sensor-network details or live tasking access.

Prove the Gate Before Broader Integration (Zero-Risk Evaluation)

Do not buy the claim. Test the gate.

Feed it a synthetic proximity event designed to tempt a naive system into a high "hostile" score, alongside a GEO co-location event that could be a legitimate coordination arrangement. It succeeds only if it labels intent as undetermined on the first and routes the second for coordination verification rather than guessing either way.

This initial trial measures intent-overclaim prevention and proximity-classification accuracy. Commercial scale-up occurs only after measured results prove value in your own lab environment.

What you provide

Redacted multi-source orbital-state data and provenance metadata already collected by your SSA pipeline. No classified sensor-network details are required.

What BivectorAI actually hands you

Evidence package

  • orbital-state classification
  • multi-source provenance evidence
  • contradiction and confidence records
  • reviewable SSA certificates

Integration package

Customer-safe input/output contract, local/private integration boundary, validation fixtures and reviewable evidence artifacts.

Deployment model

Qualified local, private or on-premise integration. No public Defense API and no uncontrolled public execution surface.

Technical disclosure

Customer-visible behavior and evidence are disclosed. Confidential implementation details, protected core methods and internal technical data are not published.

What we will never ask you for

Never requested, and structurally rejected if submitted: classified sensor-network locations, live tasking access, or source data outside the agreed evidence contract, or your system's core design data. Every submission is checked against this rejection list before any evidence logic runs — a malformed or over-broad submission is blocked and reported back to you, not silently processed.

How it actually runs

01
You export the redacted multi-source orbital-state data already collected by your SSA pipeline.
02
The evidence engine runs inside your boundary. Local CLI, on-prem container, or air-gapped VM — nothing leaves your network.
03
You receive a hash-sealed evidence certificate. Classification, confidence, and contradiction records included, ready for program review.
04
You decide. The engine does not take control action or issue commands — it hands your reviewers structured evidence for the decision that remains yours.
