Weapon-System Safety & Command Authorization Assurance
Commercial referenceDEF-023
When contacting BivectorAI, quote DEF-023 — Weapon-System Safety & Command Authorization Assurance.
Who this is for
Weapon-system safety leads and command-authorization program managers who need an auditable record spanning interlocks, delegation, and software version history.
The problem you already have
A healthy subsystem can still be unauthorized
Local READY, ENABLED, healthy or available status is not enough to expose execution-prerequisite evidence readiness. Command generation, configuration/effectivity, safety/interlock state, upstream data, network/time, human role and policy generation must still refer to compatible current scopes.
Recovery creates a new evidence problem, not a free return to the old authority state
After maintenance, restart, failover or software/configuration change, a subsystem can be physically healthy while its earlier authorization evidence is stale. The documented recovery model therefore places the subsystem in RECOVERED_UNVERIFIED until the affected configuration, maintenance/readiness and safety/effectivity evidence is current again.
This works from authorization and safety evidence, not live weapon-system control
Never requested, and structurally rejected if submitted: live weapon-system control, classified engagement parameters, or fire-control network access.
Real-World Operational Scenario: The Reconnect After Inhibit
Scenario: A safety inhibit is issued mid-operation.
A weapon subsystem receives an authoritative SAFETY_INHIBIT_ACTIVE state. A routine network failover drops connectivity for several seconds. The link recovers, and the subsystem completes its local self-test, reporting healthy.
WITHOUT this gate: The recovered health state can be mistaken for restored authority even though the earlier inhibit was never formally cleared.
WITH this gate: The inhibit remains authoritative and propagates downstream until an authorized clearance process supplies new evidence. A local healthy report cannot supersede SAFETY_INHIBIT_ACTIVE, so the execution-prerequisite state remains held or blocked.
Scenario: The weapon subsystem is READY, but the upstream data product was just corrected or revoked.
Platform health, interlocks and command signature all remain nominal, but the externally supplied track or engagement-context product supporting the current authorization state is superseded, corrected or revoked upstream.
WITHOUT this gate: A still-healthy platform can continue to appear authorization-ready because the local subsystem state did not change when the upstream evidence changed.
WITH this gate: The dependent authorization state is degraded to DATA_INTEGRITY_HOLD. The assurance layer does not choose a replacement target or modify the upstream product; it only proves that the evidence generation supporting the previous readiness state is no longer current.
What BivectorAI Provides
Generation-Linked Authorization Instead of One-Time Approval
The evidence state binds current command lineage, authority scope, configuration/effectivity generation, maintenance/readiness generation, safety/interlock state, upstream data-product generation, network/time state, human role, policy generation, revocation state and validity horizon.
Recovery Enters RECOVERED_UNVERIFIED Until Revalidated
Maintenance, restart, failover or configuration change does not silently restore earlier authority. Only fresh evidence for the affected generations can return the system to a higher prerequisite-readiness state.
Revocation and Upstream Evidence Changes Propagate Downward
Authoritative inhibit, revoke or abort states drive authority toward less permission, while corrected or revoked upstream data can produce DATA_INTEGRITY_HOLD even when the platform itself still reports healthy.
Named Readiness, Hold and Block States — Never a Fire Command
Outputs include states such as HUMAN_AUTHORIZATION_REQUIRED, SAFETY_INHIBIT_ACTIVE, ABORT_OR_REVOKE_ACTIVE, DATA_INTEGRITY_HOLD and EVIDENCE_READY_FOR_EXTERNAL_AUTHORIZED_EXECUTION_REVIEW. None is a firing, release, launch or guidance authorization.
Prove the Gate Before Broader Integration (Zero-Risk Evaluation)
Do not buy the claim. Test the gate.
Run this against a fixed synthetic or historical command/authorization event log inside your secure environment. Before viewing results, freeze the prerequisite rules. Introduce deliberate edge cases: a reconnect after an active inhibit, contradictory revoke/clear messages arriving out of order, and a same-identity double-approval attempt. The evaluation succeeds only if it holds 100% of those cases and passes 100% of clean, valid authorization chains.
This initial trial measures deterministic replay, prerequisite-gap detection, false-clearance prevention, and reviewer effort reduction. Commercial scale-up occurs only after measured results prove value in your own lab environment.
What you provide
Redacted command and delegation records; system/configuration and maintenance/effectivity generations; externally supplied safety/interlock or inhibit state; upstream data-product generation/provenance/freshness metadata; network/time status; human-role and approval records; policy/safety generation; and revoke/abort history already logged by your safety and authorization systems.
What BivectorAI actually hands you
Prerequisite-state certificate
- current command generation and authority scope
- configuration/effectivity and safety/interlock state
- human/policy generation
- validity horizon and current obstruction state
Hold and block evidence
HUMAN_AUTHORIZATION_REQUIREDSAFETY_INHIBIT_ACTIVEDATA_INTEGRITY_HOLDABORT_OR_REVOKE_ACTIVE/EXECUTION_EVIDENCE_BLOCKED
Recovery and lineage evidence
RECOVERED_UNVERIFIEDstate where applicable- delegation and supersession lineage
- revocation/abort propagation record
- which generations became stale and require revalidation
Post-action audit record
The exact command, configuration/safety, upstream-data, network/time, human/policy and inhibit/revoke generations surrounding an externally controlled action, preserved for review without calculating tactical success or lethality.
What we will never ask you for
Never requested, and structurally rejected if submitted: live weapon-system control, classified engagement parameters, or fire-control network access, or your system's core design data. Every submission is checked against this rejection list before any evidence logic runs — a malformed or over-broad submission is blocked and reported back to you, not silently processed.

Engagement path & current acquisition terms
DEF-023 · Tier D — Strategic Command / Autonomy
Secures a defined diligence and exclusive-negotiation period. Any option credit is agreed in writing as part of the signed commercial terms.
Starting integration engineering, customer-safe adaptation, local/private deployment work, validation and acceptance evidence for the agreed environment.
Scope-dependent consideration for negotiated exclusivity in a defined field, program, platform class, territory and rights scope.
Engineering support, update access, security maintenance, evidence infrastructure and agreed sustainment services.
Applied to attributable net program revenue under the definitive agreement, subject to negotiated exclusions and accounting rules.
Commercial boundary. These are indicative starting terms, not a binding offer. Final price depends on exclusivity scope, field of use, territory, sublicensing, technical-data rights, integration obligations, export-control review, support requirements and definitive agreement.
IP boundary. Exclusive FOU does not automatically transfer ownership of BivectorAI Background IP. Worldwide/all-defense rights, sublicensing, source-level technical-data rights or assignment require separate negotiated consideration.
